Dąbrowska, Marja

Dąbrowska, Marja mär´yä dôNbrôf´skä [key], 1889–1965, Polish sociologist and novelist. Dąbrowska worked as a militant publicist to further social and economic reform. Her works of fiction, including the epic novelNights and Days(1932–34) andThe Crossroads(1937), treat the problems of social change. Her short stories (1955) criticize the Communist regime.
