Aetius, Syrian theologian

Aetiusāēˈshēəs[key], d. 367, Syrian theologian. He became prominent (c.350) as an exponent of the extremeArianismdeveloped mainly by his secretaryEunomius. Members of his party were called Aetians and Anomoeans.
