băth´ərst [key], city (1991 pop. 14,409), N N.B., Canada, on Chaleur Bay at the mouth of the Nepisiguit River. A popular beach resort, it also has 40% of Canada's reserves of lead, zinc, and silver. Its other industries include lumbering and shipbuilding.
