Camperdown

Camperdown kăm´pərdoun˝ [key], Du.Kamperduin[the dune of Kamp], locality near the village of Kamp, North Holland prov., NW Netherlands, on the North Sea. In 1797 the British defeated the Dutch in a naval battle off Camperdown.
