Merab

Merab mĭr´ăb [key], in the Bible, daughter ofSauland husband of Adriel. In Second Samuel, the sons of Adriel are, depending on the translation, either born to or brought up byMichal, Saul's younger daughter; the Hebrew word is most commonly translated as bear or beget. Many authorities regard the use of Michal here as a mistake for Merab (which is found in some, but not most, manuscripts), and some translations substitute Merab for Michal.
