亨利·圣乔治·塔克，弗吉尼亚州国会议员(1853-1932)

塔克，亨利·圣乔治(约翰·伦道夫·塔克之子，亨利·圣乔治·塔克之孙[1780-1848])，弗吉尼亚州众议员;1853年4月5日出生于弗吉尼亚州弗雷德里克县的温彻斯特;曾就读于弗吉尼亚州里士满和米德尔堡的私立学校;1876年毕业于弗吉尼亚州列克星敦的华盛顿李大学法律系;同年获得律师资格，并在弗吉尼亚州的斯汤顿开始执业;作为民主党人被选入第五十一届国会和随后的三届国会(1889年3月4日- 1897年3月3日);在1896年没有成为总统候选人;1897年当选为华盛顿李大学宪法与衡平法教授;1900年任该校法学院院长，1905年任华盛顿特区乔治华盛顿大学法律与外交学院院长;詹姆斯敦展览公司总裁(1905-1907年); president of the American Bar Association in 1905; unsuccessful Democratic candidate for the nomination for Governor in 1909 and again in 1921; elected as a Democrat to the Sixty-seventh Congress to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Henry D. Flood; reelected to the Sixty-eighth and to the four succeeding Congresses and served from March 21, 1922, until his death in Lexington, Va., July 23, 1932; interment in the Presbyterian Cemetery.
