李约翰，(托马斯·西姆·李之子)，马里兰州众议员;1788年1月30日出生于马里兰州弗雷德里克县弗雷德里克附近的âNeedwood，â;在哈佛大学接受私人教师的教育;早年是联邦党人;学习法律，但没有实践;从事管理其遗产âNeedwoodâ;当选为第十八届国会的杰克逊联邦党人(1823年3月4日- 1825年3月3日);1825年被任命护送拉斐特侯爵从弗雷德里克城前往华盛顿的众议院委员会主席;众议院代表;在州参议院任职; one of the proponents of the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal and of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad; resumed management of his estate; died while on a visit to his son in New York City May 17, 1871; interment in New Cathedral Cemetery, formerly called âBonnie Brae,â Baltimore, Md.
