Eddie Redmayne is an English actor known for his many roles on screen in period pieces, including his Oscar-winning turn asStephen HawkinginThe Theory of Everything(2014), as well asMy Week with MarilynandLes Misrables. Slight, freckled and oh-so-British, Redmayne made a splash on the London stage even before he'd graduated from Eton College in 2003. He then became a familiar face on screen as a bit player in a number of English productions, including the 2005 mini-seriesElizabeth I(starringHelen Mirren).
